Turn2us is a national charity that helps people in financial hardship to gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services. Formerly Elizabeth Finn Care, we changed our name earlier this year. By joining forces with Turn2us we can help more people as well as encouraging new audiences to support our work. We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that all funds raised will be spent in the same way as in previous years by helping people in North Wales.
Launched in December 2012,The Babygrow Appeal at Chester Hospital has a target of £3million to build a new Neonatal Unit more than double the size of the one we currently have. This will enable us to provide patients and their families with a more spacious environment and a greater degree of privacy. Our charity exists to provide thing over and above core NHS provision and we therefore want to provide the very best facilities we can for families at what can often be a very distressing time for them. The new unit will have its own separate entrance and will include a counselling room and play room for siblings, along with larger nurseries and areas for families to have some quiet time.
Nightingale House provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
